Since its founding in 1981, Stop Children’s Cancer, Inc. has been responsible for helping to secure more than $23,000,000 to support Pediatric Research and Clinical Trials at UF Health, generating millions more in grant funding.

Stop Children's Cancer supports the clinical trials department and start-up research at UF Health, focusing on cures for childhood cancers. Funding for this research comes from the community and stays local, helping our kids. 47 children are diagnosed with cancer every day and federal funding accounts for only 4% of the money needed to advance medicine and find much-needed cures. In addition, roughly 60% of children with cancer are enrolled in a clinical trial. While the average age of diagnosis is 10 years old, infants and toddlers are also diagnosed and receive chemotherapy. Currently, we have 55 local clinical trials running.

With funding through Stop Children's Cancer, we ensure the funds are directed accordingly. We are a 4-star organization on Charity Navigator & hold Platinum Transparency on Candid. We rely heavily on volunteers to help raise funds. We employ one full-time person and one .25 Accountant to ensure the maximum amount of funding can go to our mission. Committed to the prevention, control, and cure of childhood cancers. Local impact with global effects!!!
