Self Love Sundays

Come enjoy new ways to show yourself self-love. Over this 3 week program, we'll explore mindfulness, meditation, yoga, goal setting and dream fulfillment, nutrition, and breath work. We'll use the arts, movement, and motivation techniques. Mandy D. wellness coach, certified life coach and certified personal trainer.

SHINE Counseling

The Florida Department of Elder Affairs offers counseling that is unbiased, confidential and no cost, by trained SHINE Volunteer Counselors. Join Judy Archey for individual sessions designed to help those eligible for Medicare understand their choices and options. Please bring with you: Medicare Card and Social Security Card; A print-out of medications from pharmacy or bottles; Proof of annual household income to determine whether you qualify for extra help; MUST HAVE driver's license or photo I.D.; Any letters from Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid which you may have received. Call the Elder Care Helpline for sites that require appointments: 1-800-963-5337, or walk-ins are welcome on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Hawthorne Branch Library.

Teen Drama Club - The Hippodrome comes to Hawthorne!

As part of our Teen Drama Club, the Hippodrome will be joining us for two acting workshops. In March and April, the Hippodrome Theater will be coming to present workshops for teens. Other activities will include making stop-motion movies, improv, monologues, watching films, and more. We will meet the last Tuesday of every month from 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
