I was so sorry to hear of Yuli’s passing today. I enjoyed every minute I spent with him, not just talking about mathematics, but about life and family as well. I will always remember when he and I wandered through Warsaw talking about the Arnold Conjecture, hopelessly lost. Thank God for Greg Lupton or we might never have made it back to civilization! He was a Mensch.
