My families thoughts and prayers go out to Kurt's family at this time. If a man is judged by his accomplishments then Kurt's long life with his wonderful wife and son is more than enough proof that he was truly a great man. Rest in peace Yoshihiro Kurt Kuriyama.
Kurt lives on in the pleasant memories and cherished family he brought to the world. Our thoughts are with his immediate family and prayers are for his soul. RIP.
We first met Kurt at the wedding of Dave and Liz. We had a chance to talk a great deal as my husband and I had the good fortune to transport Dave's parents from the hotel to the wedding to the reception. Although I'm certain Kurt had heard the story many times before, he expressed pride and admiration when his wife shared her work on Charlie Chaplin with us. At the wedding reception, he talked about his interest in history and his work as a professor. But he said quietly that his greatest accomplishment was his son, David. As a father, he was very proud of his son's dedication to film and obvious talent.

Kurt, I only met you once for a brief time, but your kindness made an impression that lasted much longer. I am so happy that our families were joined through Dave. You are missed.
