William "Bill" Daniel King's Obituary
William “Bill” Daniel King, also affectionately known as Bardo and Bebo, passed away on September 26, 2025, at his home in Newberry, FL. He was born in Gainesville, FL on October 30, 1959, to Preston and Lucile King Jr.
Bill, a longtime resident of Newberry, Florida, passed away leaving behind many who loved him. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Bill was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a fondness for playing the lotto and scratch-offs, and he was known for his whistling. Bill loved animals and was often seen with a big smile. He was generous, kind, and a true friend to all. He also cared deeply for his family, serving as a caregiver to his mother and brother.
Bill is survived by his brothers, Alan Preston (Cindy) King and Dana Bruce King; his foster brother, Harvey Hampton; his nieces, Megan A. (David) Renner, Mallorie A. (Brandon) Kravitz, Michelle A. King, and Madison A. King; and his great nieces and nephew, Irelyn, Jillian, Owen. He is preceded in death by his parents Preston and Lucile King Jr.
A Celebration of Life to honor Bill will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel, 823 NW 143rd St. Newberry, FL 32669, with Pastor Andy Cook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Newberry, FL.
