Although a sad and reflective time, we’re so glad we had the opportunity to know this kind, humble, gentle and loving man who had a huge and indominable sense of humor.
Bill King was our next-door neighbor for 19 years, a trusted and beloved friend, a confidant who was always there for us, for his friends and his beloved family.
His kindness, spirit of giving and enjoyment for wood cooking often brought Bill to our door when we were least expecting it with a plate of amazing ribs, wings or steak in hand. We were aware he did that for many of his friends over the years. Nobody cooked ribs and wings like Bill!
Blessed with a sense of adventure, we spent many beautiful days with Bill on the Suwannee or at Crystal River just laughing, boating, fishing and having a great time together.
When we learned of Bill’s passing, we were naturally struck with grief over losing a best friend unexpectedly. As we’ve thought more about it, we’ve realized that Bill King was everyone’s best friend and the reason he was so endeared to all of us.
William Daniel “Bill” King, we will miss you, our kind, lovable, affable and amazing friend.
Rest in Peace
Bob and Alice Colson
