Hi Mama Demers, Katie, Molly, Mike and all: I just heard that Pepe had passed and my heart just breaks for all of you. Your dad was one of the best people I have ever known. His kindness toward me and Johnny and Grace, his sweet humor, his understanding... I just cherish them all. I remember going to see him at AGH a few years ago, the way he smiled and joked with me from his bedside. And the day we were packing stuff up from their home in Waldo, and how funny and kind he was during the whole process. I am just so so grateful that Katie came into my life all those years ago and brought these two incredible parents of hers along too. I remember his meatballs (!), the wooden truck he made for Little Johnny (and other children are still playing with today!), his gentle hugs and genuine joy, and mostly his great love for Mama Demers and all his kids. I just can't say enough. I am so glad that I got to know him and be blessed by him. Love to you all.

Uncle Billy was so much a part of the lives he shared. His quiet humor, his gentle presence familiar to all who knew him. I have so many memories of him. I especially remember his wedding to Aunt Nancy, probably the first one I ever went to. What I remember most, though, is his deep faith and belief that God would take care of all. To Aunt Nancy and all my cousins and their families, you will shed tears, you will miss him always, but he is at rest with his Lord and that has to bring a smile to our face and joy to our heart.
