Wendell Howell Chastain Sr.'s Obituary
CHASTAIN, WENDELL HOWELL SR., passed away on May 30,2021 surrounded by his family. Wendell was born on April 25,1943 in Coolidge, GA to Willie Howell and Martha Marie Carter Chastain.
Mr. Chastain proudly served in the US Marines during Vietnam and retired after 20 years as a Captain.
Mr. Chastain also retired from Alachua County public works, and June 28th was proclaimed as Wendell Chastain Day.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 58 years; Carolyn Chastain, son; Wendell Howell Chastain Jr. and wife Barbara, daughters; April Denise Chastain Sullivan and husband John, Chris Kelly Chastain Rojas and husband Ronald, brother Truman Tinsley, sister Recie Chastain Crews, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Services will be private.
