Thomas Neil Boyd's Obituary
Thomas Neil Boyd was the youngest of ten children born August 6, 1935, from a farming family in Micanopy. Thomas went to school here and graduated from PK Yonge and worked for Mr. Elbert Zetrouer for many years as his cow man. Moving on as a master electrician for Carlos Hope Electric until his retirement.
Thomas was married to his lifelong sweetheart Niokoa in 1959 and they started their family and had their children, Tommy Jr., Tony, and Kelli. He was a dedicated and old school cattleman that worked hard his entire life to the end. He took pride in his work and was an extremely hard worker. Always with the highest standards as well as his love and knowledge of the cattle he raised, Thomas knew cattle like no other.
He was honorable and his word was his bond. Thomas was well liked among the community and always had a smile and warm handshake to greet everyone. He was always unselfishly helping neighbors and friends because he was a servant of the Lord.
Thomas leaves behind his loving family, Sons -Tommy Boyd Jr. ( Cheryl); granddaughter Ashley, Tony Boyd (Jamie) grandchildren Pace & Emily. Daughter - Kelli Emerson – grandsons – Shane, Clayton (Boo) & Raylin. His life long friend and brother in law – Willie Adkins, and his beloved horse Jule. He leaves behind many friends and extended family.
We will greatly miss him as he was ONE OF A KIND. We lift him up to the Lord in Praise!
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Micanopy Historical Cemetery 401 W Smith Ave, Micanopy, FL 32667.
