I was 'blessed' with being Susie and Jack's next door neighbor when I first moved to Turkey Creek Forest! I'm certain I've never had such caring, delightful 'friends' when I was new to Gainesville. Susie indeed had a 'heart of gold' and was loved by everyone in our community! Her wonderful warm smile will be sorely missed.

My fondest childhood memories with Grandma Susie came during her time with her late husband, my Grandpa Jack. Sleepovers there were the best! She was an unbelievable cook which meant there was always plenty of food. HBO was a staple at night with watching Fraggle Rock and my first-time experiencing Raiders of the Lost Ark. I always enjoyed those nights with her. She was a very caring, welcoming, and loving grandmother. I miss her deeply.
I was blessed to know Susie. When i visited her with Jennie it was one of the top high lights of my life. She was such a delight. Loved her humor and her warmth plus her cooking!! Know all of you will miss her so much. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you this Friday and throughout the coming months. You are such a special family. Donna Marmon
Gma Susie was one of the sweetest kindest people I have ever known. Always a voice of encouragement. She will be missed by me and anyone else who has ever known her. She was the kind of person that made you want to be better! I love you Susie Q and I will see you on the other side.
