A great guy. A great husband, father, grandfather and brother. And a brother to me as his brother-in-law for almost 50 years. I first met the handsome hippie in Bend, Oregon when my sister fell in love with him in the 70s. My wife Carole and our kids travelled to Montana to visit their homestead he built virtually himself and as our families grew we spent wonderful times together everywhere from Vancouver on the West Coast to Florida and the Bahamas in the East. I bought my first house in Gainesville from Steve. From the moment I pulled in with the uhaul he was there lending a hand to unload that truck. Megan, Jacob and Kyle in tow to become fast friends with Jamie and Dustin. We all became fast friends and shared many times together.
I am most grateful to Steve for being a wonderful father figure to Dustin all these years. He has left this world but not our hearts. 💔🙏
