Stephen Roger Boggs' Obituary
Stephen Roger Boggs, age 61 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1953 in St. Albans, West Virginia to Dennis and Dorothy Wolfe Boggs. Steve loved birding, fishing, hiking and camping, but maybe most of all, sitting with his friends and dog watching the birds and the dogs playing while they talked. He was an Associate Professor in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program where he was an encourager to many students to complete their dissertations and achieve their PhDs. He was a member of the American Psychological Association. Steve was an avid Gator fan and loved being a Godfather to his nephew. He was the kindest and most non-judgmental friend that anyone could ever hope to have. He will be greatly missed.
Steve is survived by his mother, Dorothy Boggs; cousin, Tammy (Pat) Ward; godson, Benjamin and his dog, Strider.
