Sherry Patricia "Pat" Hunt's Obituary
Sherry Patricia “Pat” Hunt of Gainesville, FL passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022. She will be missed by her loving family and friends. Pat was born on February 15, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama. Pat’s family moved to Florida when she was a young girl. She graduated from Southwest Sr High School in Miami – Dade County in 1964. In 1975 she moved to Gainesville, FL. Pat (Sherry) retired from the University of Florida as an Administrative Assistant in the College of Medicine.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Jackson and Mildred June Wright, her brothers, Michael Dan Wright and Douglas Randall Wright, and her sister, Virginia Elizabeth Peavy. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Marie Savici (Michael) of Lincolnton, GA. She has 2 grandchildren, Korie Marie and Connor Alan, who knew her affectionately as “Mom.” She is survived by her sister-in-law, Brenda Wright of Palatka, FL, and 2 nephews, Brian Wright (Jamie) and Robert Wright (Tresha), 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home West, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, FL 32669. There will be a time of sharing at Noon.
