Sarah Green Poss, 87, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Shands Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mrs. Poss was born on June 10, 1930 in Turbeville, South Carolina to the late Glayton and Sal Read Obituary
Always looked forward to Christmas and the Greens hog cooking. She and James always came and we all visited and talked football
She loved her Florida Gators and of course our blood runneth orange ( made for some interesting conversations). RIP Aunt Sara

My prayers to Brenda and James and the rest of the extended Poss family. My memory with Sarah and her family started in 1972 when I was a freshman student at the University of Florida. The church I started attending had a ministry to students where families would "adopt" at least one student (the Poss family "adopted" many over the years) and help them transition to life away from home. There were numerous dinners shared with the Poss family, as well as other times together. Sarah helped me with football tickets to Gator games. I have kept in touch with her over all these years, stopping by to visit when driving past Gainesville, or by phone. She loved her flowers and the many egg decorations she had crafted over the years, but especially her children and grandchildren. I will miss Sarah, but I know she is with Jesus now and I will see her and Carey again one day.
All of heaven is rejoicing Sarah's homecoming!! Sending love and prayers to Brenda, Mike, Megan and all of Sarah's family. May God comfort and keep you. Our deepest sympathies, the Wilcox family

Sarah will be dearly missed by family and friends. She was always there with a smile and a wry comment. Love for her family was always at the forefront of her life. What a wonderful creature God created in Sarah Poss.
