When my family moved down to Lakeland, FL, in 1947, Sandi and her parents were living in Miami Beach. Her mother was my mother's favorite cousin, and we always looked forward to our trips "down south" to visit. Sandi and I later attended the U of F during the same years. We saw each other from time to time, and when she dated one of my fraternity brothers I would see them riding off together on his Harley. After college we went off in separate directions, although I do remember attending her wedding to Larry.
Until last year my wife and I were living in Las Vegas. Sandi and I kept in touch, however soon a part-time job started sending me to Gainesville from time to time. I then met Kal and looked forward to visiting them both whenever I was in town. I loved hearing about some of their trips, and those that were being planned (and Sandi loved telling me). That progressed into the trips with Michael, Jill and family.
To me, Sandi seemed fearless, involved, and just waiting for the next adventure. She was also kind, considerate and very much appreciated.
I will really miss my favorite cousin.
Our sincerest condolences to her family.
