I went through much of grad school with Rusty. He was awesome in many ways. Even though we didn't 'hang out' much outside of class, he had a way of making me feel unique and part of his life in a 'larger than life' way. Always smiling bigger than his face could display, he lifted all of us in a uniquely colorful way.

As you know, my family and yours made many, many wonderful memories at the beach in the 70's and 80's. Rusty was a big part of all the July 4th Celebrations, picnics, fireworks, fishing trips, "living" in each other's condos, eating in restaurants, etc., etc. We will miss him and extend to you and your family much sympathy as you grieve his loss.

So sorry to hear about Rusty, I just saw him a few months ago at Gville Tire. It was nice to talk about old times even if it was only for a few minutes. He had Josie with him in the front seat. You will be missed old friend.
So sad to here this. I saw him a while back for the first time in years and we had the best time catching up. He told me he was working hard to improve his life and seemed very happy. May God bless him and his brother Randy.
You were "my cousin Rusty" to our sweet Jacob and Ronnie. You were always uplifting in spirit and could make us all laugh. It was such a blessing the boys got to spend some time with you a couple weeks ago, I am sorry I wasn't able to be there. I will treasure your texts and memories.
