I met Ms. Roberta in 2002 when she approached me to mow her yard. That turned into a long and loving friendship that I will cherish forever. I never felt that taking care of her yard was a chore or just a plain old job as Ms. Roberta was always complimentary and never ever once complained about anything. She made me feel like part of her family and always had a kind word. And very witty, I would crack up at some of the things she said.
When I introduced her to my family and friends I would embarrass her by saying in front of her "guess how old she is" and the answer was always 10-20 years younger. She would say, "now stop it". I was flabbergasted when I first met her thinking she's much younger than she is. That speaks volumes how Ms. Roberta took care of herself considering all she had to deal with health wise. And again, never complained. Her kindness and positive approach to living has filtered down to her family, as Darlene, Gail and Pam have always treated me with the same attitude. I am forever greatful to know this family and anyone who hasn't had the pleasure is sorely missing out.
I will so miss Ms.Roberta but know in my heart she is at peace and heaven can make way for another Angel.
My heartfelt sympathies to Ms. Robertas entire family.
Fondly,
Barbara Galligan
