It's been almost 4 years that Robert had to leave the Hawthorne plywood plant, I can't even remember if i got to tell him goodbye and how good it had been to work with him. He was indeed a good man and this is something i now regret. I went to the funeral today and it was overwhelmingly obvious how good of a man he was and how he will be missed. I don't recall who said it but Robert was loaned to us for 53 years and it was time for him to go home. While sad for those left behind, at least he is no longer in pain.
I can only only hope his family can find solace in this until such time that his memory brings thought of happiness and joy instead of pain and sorrow.
