Richard was one of my best friends. As teens, we lived on the same street in Hialeah and attended the same school (Miami Jackson), I persuaded him to join the Marines with me in 1951. We enlisted in New Orleans so Boot Camp would be in San Diego. We both enlisted for three not four years, Richard moved back home with Avis, Alio, and Henry after discharge and I got married and eventually my career took me elsewhere.
After retiring, I attempted tracking Richard and found a Richard Lacy had passed in the Miami area at age 71.
Something possessed me a few days ago to type in Richard Arlen Lacy on Google and I found he had passed a few short months ago.
I have many treasured memories and regret not typing his name in sooner,
