Richard and I became friends in elementary school. Over the sixty plus years of friendship, there are just too many memories to share here. Being the two smallest in cub scouts, during parades Richard and I were at the front of the pack carrying the American and Cub Scout flags. In high school we were the Spanish Everly Brothers when the assignment was to pair up and sing a Spanish song. Its the world's lost that our rendition of "La Cucaracha" was not recorded and released to the public at large. After military service, Richard and I, by chance, ended up in Tallahassee at the same time to continue our education. Sunday's became a regular get together for cookouts, Boone's Farm and football. Our later years we relocated to different cities, but managed to maintain our lifelong friendship with occasional reunions with Wayne and Joe and Jimmy. I was also honored to be asked by Richard to be Lori's godfather. Over last three months, I have lost three friends, but losing Richard is the one that carries the most memories. Adios, amigo
