Phil, for almost 40 years you were such a good friend and mentor to me while working together at Sparton Electronics. Your quick wit, common sense and humor were indeed your trademark. Your career began as an engineer in the Test Equipment Dept. (Jackson, MI), advanced to Director of Operations (DeLeon Springs, FL), and finally Corporate - Hazmat /Environmental Engineer (For all 7 Sparton facilities locations).
Frugal doesn’t begin to describe your joy at the discovery of a bargain! I have never met a man better equipped to squeeze more worth out of each dollar that he spent. It was a game that you loved to play.
When visiting the Jackson, MI facility, you would always ask me to lunch so you could satisfy your insatiable love for Coney Island Hot Dogs (with onion & mustard).
I’ve treasured your friendship and thank you for our many shared memories. Your positive light in this world is greatly missed.
