Donna Johnston
I am heartbroken to learn the news of Moira's passing and so sorry that it is only now that i received such devastating news. Moira and i worked together in Toronto and quickly became dear friends sharing in each others joys and tribulations in life, including our pregnancies and motherhood. She was such a loving person and adored and was so proud of her husband and son and would boast about them whenever she could. She taught me to love everyday and to make sure birthdays were treated as the very special day that they are and not passed over as just another day. I loved her accent and her favourite expressions one of which was the word chuffed if my memory serves me correctly. When she relocated to the US we kept in touch via email and Christmas cards and hers always included a letter exclaiming all the accomplishments of her son as only a very proud mum could. Life got busy for both is us and the communications became less frequent but i often thought of her and believed we would see each other again one day, I am deeply saddened that that will not be and i could not say goodbye to my very dear friend Moira <3
