Michael Calvin Hawley's Obituary
Hawley, Michael C. of Satellite Beach FL and formerly of Gainesville FL passed away August 29, 2016. He was 66 years old. He is survived by his wife, Karen Moore Hawley; his children, M. Calvin Hawley, and Misti N. Hawley; grandson, Bentley; mother, Delores Johnson Hawley of Gainesville, FL; brothers, Ray (Dianne) Hawley, Dennie (Carole) Hawley, and Phillip (Janice) Hawley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, F. Calvin Hawley, niece, Jennifer Hawley Clift, and grand-nephew, Stevie Morton.
Michael attended Santa Fe College and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army including an assignment as military photographer in Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged in April 1971. During his many years in Gainesville, he enjoyed and successfully renovated, redesigned and reconstructed homes. For the past several years, he owned and operated MKCM Enterprises, Orlando FL. His business successes were largely attributed to his understanding, compassion, and ability to relate well to people of all walks of life.
Michael was very passionate about his faith, his love for the Word of God, his family including grandson, Bentley, and his faithful cat, Cloudy. They spent many hours playing in the surf and watching sunrises. His favorite hobbies include fishing and hunting and he was awesome at both.
He will be truly missed by the many people whose lives he touched over the years. The family will receive friends in a Celebration of Life from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, at Williams-Thomas Westarea Funeral Home, 823 NW 143rd Street, Jonesville FL 32669. Service and burial will be private at a later date.
