Melonie Collins Heckerman's Obituary
Melonie Collins Heckerman, age 55 of Newberry, Florida passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015. She was born August 12, 1959 in Morgan County, Kentucky to Clyde and Joyce Hilma Ferguson Collins. Melonie had a great love for her family, her children and everyone’s children. She was very outspoken and loved to laugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Phillip Heckerman I.
She is survived by a son, John Phillip Heckerman II; daughter, Joyce Marian Heckerman; brothers, David Leigh Collins, Paul Dean Collins, Danny Clyde Collins, Billy Samuel Collins and Jesse Keith Collins; grandchildren, Troy Alexander Heckerman, Claire Elizabeth Morrison, Mitchell Otto Morrison and one on the way.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville with Fr. Emmanuel Pazhayapurackal as celebrant. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery, 10926 NW 39th Ave. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2119 S.W. 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
