Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Jordan Winter's Obituary
Mary Jacqueline “Jackie” Jordan Winter, 93, was born September 21, 1922 in Jacksonville, Florida and resided in Gainesville, Florida for many years. Jackie’s daughters were by her side at the end of her courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease on November 29, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joe Winter, and her adored grandson, Joe Stima.
Jackie is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen Winter (Bill Clasen) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jodee Brunning (Geoff Brunning) of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, and Sallie Dreyer (David Dreyer) of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Tisha Stima (Jonathan Silverman), Hampton Franklin (Jamie Hooper), Malia Dreyer and Ellie Dreyer, and her great-grandchildren, Max and Noah Silverman. Jackie was loved and admired by nieces, nephews and dear friends who were always in her heart.
Her service will be officiated by a dear friend, The Reverend Dena S. Whalen. We will all miss Jackie’s grace, her beautiful voice, loving spirit, kind heart and those chocolate brownies!
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held this Monday, December 7th in Gainesville at Parkview Baptist Church on 3403 NW 13th St at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Central. Donations to Alzheimer’s Association Central & North Florida Chapter, 378 Center Pointe Circle, Ste. 1280, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 would be appreciated.
