I am shocked to find Marilyn passed 4 months ago. She sent me a birthday card the end of October. She was my neighbor and very good friend. She shared celebrations both her family and our neighbor celebrations. I buried cats for her and cried with her. I have missed her the most after moving in 2022, I stayed in touch with her until she was hospitalized and went to rehab. I so sorry to have not had more conversations with her, Marilyn will always be in my heart Gail Saunders
There were countless weekends in ’92 and ’93 when Marilyn worked the Florida Buckskin Horse Shows. She took entries, prepared judge’s cards, and calculated points, all while keeping one eye on our son Matthew in his infant swing or playpen. This allowed me the freedom to show even when Joel was working weekends at Gold Kist. And when we were at the hospital welcoming our second son into the world, Marilyn spent the entire day entertaining Matt. We didn’t have many date nights, but those we had were thanks to the loving care she gave our kids. To us she gave many laughs with her quick wit. What a special, special lady!!
Marilyn, you will be so missed but I know you are safely in a better place. So many memories we made through the years---church, traveling, cooking, card games and so many more.
Momma G, you always were by side when I needed you, from making rodeo shirts an taking me to the Horsman’s club and took me to High School Rodeo’s until my Mom and Dad bought a farm and a horse trailer and could take me. I remember sitting in the stands and you always turned around in your seat and you would crochet or knit because you couldn’t watch it. You always remembered my Birthday and you were by my side when my dad and my mom passed away. You always treated me like your own daughter and she and I are still best friends. I am praying for you all. But I know I will see you in heaven along with all of our High School Rodeo family and Freon’s at that big area in the heavens,
