Marie worked at Holy Trinity Child Care Center when my youngest,
Andrew Emmons, was there. He was very young when one day he made the conection of Marie at Holy Trinity and Marie at Wesley UMC... Andrew .yelling across the room....."MARIE IS THAT YOU!" from then on...in our house she was not just Marie..She was ...Marie is that you? Love her forever, Susie Aguila
Marie is my sister in law. I say it that way because she is just away in a better place free from her earthly suffering. Before she left she gave us memories of the way we should treat each other. She always took time to be kind and caring of others. She wanted to be a social worker. My guess is that she achieved that through her church work. Jesus said the greatest commandments were to love God with all your heart and soul and love your neighbors as you love yourself. Marie lived that way. We would do well to follow her example. Marie & I shared a school that meant so much to both of us: Berry School / Berry College, in Rome, GA. We met at Wesley, and we chatted about trips to GA. all the time. She was a precious lady, and I was blessed to have known her. We will meet again, so there will just be a short "pause" in our friendship until then. I am so sorry for your loss everyone! Miss Marie was a wonderful, giving and dedicated woman, and I'm so glad I got to know her a little and work on some church activities with her. She was an inspiration, even after she became home-bound, and her sense of humor was a delight. I missed seeing her in church these last several years, but I had the honor of joining in with a group of her friends from the choir to sing Carols in her home one recent Christmas Eve. She was SO appreciative and gracious! God's got another good one to take up the work in Heaven and watch over us all. Bless you Marie!
