Marie (Sissy) Ann Stocker's Obituary
Marie (Sissy) Ann Stocker, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, in Gainesville Florida. She was born in Hoboken, New Jersey to William and Gertrude Brombacher Zielasko on December 14, 1946.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of our Mom, Marie (Sissy) Stocker. Mom was an extraordinary woman who was both a devoted mother and fearless leader who left an indelible mark on all those she met. Through unwavering strength and compassion, she set high standards and inspired us to excel in our daily lives. In tough times, she stood strong, a pillar of resilience. Her legacy lives on, guiding us as we say goodbye. Rest in peace, kiddo. Your memory will forever inspire us.
Marie (Sissy) grew up between New York, and New Jersey before settling in Florida in the early seventies. She spent most of her adult life working in Health and Food Supplement Industry in Gainesville, St. Petersburg and Lake Mary.
Marie (Sissy) loved sports, tennis, boxing, MMA and Gator football. She spent her time playing Bingo and solitaire, gardening and decorating her house.
Marie (Sissy) is survived by the father of her children: Louis Stocker, children Louis Stocker (Marta), Stephan Stocker, Maria Raulerson (Brian Corsaro), Erikka Galloway (Jim Taylor) and Matthew Stocker (Mellody) Sister, Marlene Banner and niece Kathy Ann Banner. Marie had fourteen loving grandchildren, Amber, Louis, Renata, Romina, Roberta, Jessica (Kyle), Samantha (Cody), Christina (David), Alex, Savanna, Nicholas, Matthew, Stephan and George, six great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her mother Gertrude Zielasko, niece, Susan Banner and brother, William Zielasko and two grandchildren, Noelle Stocker and Darcie Lee.
A Celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00p.m. at Williams Thomas Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd Street Newberry, Florida 32669 a reception will follow. Casual attire is suggested for the service.
