Lloyd "L.T." W. Taylor's Obituary
Lloyd “L.T.” W. Taylor, age 54 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his home. A lifelong resident of Gainesville, L.T. was born November 2, 1960. He worked as an equipment operator for Alachua County and retired from the Alachua County School Board. L.T. was an avid Gator fan, he loved to fish and he never met a stranger. His family, whom he loved very much, meant everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lacy D. Taylor and brother, David L. Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Taylor of Gainesville; mother, Shirley Stepp of Hawthorne; birth mother, Mildred Graham (Kenneth) of Bronson; children, Christina Lee Sierra (Eddie) of Ocala, FL and Corinna Nixon (Scott) of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Emma, Anna and Taylor Nixon and baby Athena Sierra due in July; sister, Janine A. Schwall of Japan and nephew, Slater Schwall.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Dr. L.D. Osteen officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 8, 2015, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to ASPCA, P.O. Box 122, Putnam Hall, FL 32185, and/or Epilepsy Research, Department of Neurology at the University of Florida, PO Box 100243, Gainesville, FL 32610.
