Grandma Jean was a blessing to know for me and my daughters. My step-grandmother Helen Baker would visit me every summer in Broward County and play and help with my daughters. That is how I got to know the Wojcicki family. Jean and Helen loved getting together. I was invited to a bridal shower selling Lifetime pots and pans that Jean swore by. I had just married in 1990 and Tom and I bought a lifetime of memories. I still have those pans. Millions of meals later, John and Jean moved to Gainesville, and coincidentally so did my family. It was such a joy to have them nearby and visit when I could. Her granddaughters were the age of my youngest daughter and they got to know each other a bit.
The thing I miss most about Jean is that she always 'got' what I was going through. We'd talk occasionally once I moved to Ocala, and her insight and advice was soothing for me, as I had lost my grandmothers and mom early on. That amazing chocolate sure helped as well.
