Kristy Lynn Geiszler's Obituary
Kristy Lynn Geiszler, 66, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, June 13, 2016, as a result of an apparent heart condition.
Mrs. Geiszler was born in Rockford, Illinois, on April 8, 1950 to John and Jeanne Bloom. She graduated from Southern Illinois University, and after teaching at various schools, she made her way to Gainesville, and to Buchholz High School, where she taught English for 40 years, prior to her retirement in 2013. Mrs. Geiszler enjoyed reading, gardening, especially her orchids and spending time at the beach, but most of all, she loved playing with her grandson, Mikey. She was a longtime breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mr. Paul C. Geiszler; a daughter, Jordan (Mike) Williams, of Ocala; a grandson, Mikey Williams, of Ocala; her mother, Jeanne Bloom, of Ft. Myers; a brother, John (Linda) Bloom, of Roscoe, IL; and a sister, Beth Kuhlow, of Ft. Myers.
The family will host a time to celebrate Kristy’s life on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 2:00 P. M., at the Sweetwater Branch Inn, 625 E University Ave, with parking across the street at the Kirby Smith Center.
