The memories and time I shared with Katie are truly the highlight of my life. I just wish there could be more. What a beautiful, thoughtful, loving, funny, innocent, and hilariously sassy soul. Katie cracked us up and made our family what it is.
Here are just a few things I will desperately miss about Katie:
• Sitting and talking with her while she colors
• Going on neighborhood walks after Thanksgiving/ Christmas dinner
• Her smile
• Watching her play her video games
• Hearing her laugh (especially when my dad would say “Calm down, Katie!!!” and she would say “Calm down, Footy!!!”)
• Hearing her say “Is that my cousin Lindsey????” as soon as I walk through the door and getting so excited
• Asking her who her favorite aunt/uncle/cousin was at the moment as this changed sometimes by the minute lol
• The excitement and even the tantrums at Christmas and Thanksgiving around food and presents
• Katie’s phone calls, voicemails, her energy, her wittiness, and her hugs
• Everything about her
While there is much to miss, there is also so much to be grateful for. Katie, you changed our lives in so many ways. I know you left us all better people just by being here. I am so happy you got to live your life to the fullest with your true friends. You loved everyone in your life so deeply, and we all loved you back just as much.
I will miss you tremendously, Katie. I love you and can’t wait to see you again one day.
Love and miss you,
Lindz♥️
