Dear Terry, Tracy,Tom and families,
I am so so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fond memories of your poppa. When I was young and you all would visit, I used to think he was a scary military guy,, but I soon realized his heart was huge! When we made arrangements to visit a few years ago after not seeing your parents for a long time, I called your dad to let him know we were close. I started the conversation with "this is Marcia Shumaker..you know Bernard"s daughter"..his response..."I know who you are" like I was silly for thinking he would not know me! I loved that visit and I love your family. My very deepest sympathy for all of you.
