Jeanne earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Master's in Education from Florida International University. She was not only a teacher by profession but also from her heart. She loved to share her knowledge and love of learning, especially with children. She loved doing puzzles, above all crossword puzzles. She also had quite a sense of humor and often said that if you visited her home, she hoped that you could take a joke.
Jeanne loved to travel and was able to visit most of the United States along with several other countries. She loved to reminisce about her trips with her husband Bill and often told her children that they were spending their inheritance. Another favorite topic was the several people with whom she shared lifelong friendships.
Jeanne was able to spend her last few days, out of pain and surrounded by love and family at the Haven- E.T. York Hospice Care Facility, in Gainesville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to that facility.
