Jean Misner's Obituary
Jean Misner, 90, of Alachua, Florida, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She is survived by her sister, Doris Kiggins of Orlando, FL. Her children Marty Misner of Alachua, FL, Susan Meixner and husband Gary of Greenville, SC, and Steven Misner and wife Ginger of Greenacres, FL, 5 grandchildren, Troy, Annie, David, Mitchel, and Mason, and 4 great-grandchildren, Carolyn, Ezra, Xavier and Lucien.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and an amazing friend.
She had a passion for helping people find their home and she did that by being a Realtor in Gainesville for almost forty years. She began helping people in 1972 while working for Grier Kirkpatrick. She went on to work for Quality Realty, Trend Realty and RE/MAX until she retired in 2010. She never considered herself a salesperson. She would always say " Everyone needs a home and I try to help them find one". She will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held on January 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd Street Newberry, FL. the family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Meadows West.
The family asks in leu of flowers, charitable contributions be made to the American Heart Association at www. heart.org
