Jean Misner, 90, of Alachua, Florida, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She is survived by her sister, Doris Kiggins of Orlando, FL. Her children Marty Misner of Alachua, FL, Susan Meixner and husband Gar Read Obituary

The family of Ruth Prine, including Debbie and Don Emerson and Karen and Patrick Skaggs send our condolences. We deeply regret not being able to attend your Mom's funeral today. Ruth had a severe fall Wednesday and is the hospital, she was diagnosed with COVID so the whole family is in quarantine. We want to catch up with Marty soon. Ruth will miss her friend deeply. Our prayers are with your family.
Just two days before her homegoing we were planning lunch out in the new year. What a lovely lady, inside and out, always looking out for others before herself. She missed her husband greatly and spoke of him often. My prayers continue for the comfort of the family. What a legacy she left behind.
Our prayers are with you all as you remember Jean and celebrate her life. She was a vital part of our family and church. She helped us find a house to live in when we moved to Gainesville. She always blessed us on our birthdays and encouraged our children. She was a wise and capable leader and faithful member of Parkview Baptist and supported my ministry in many untold ways. Karen and I loved Jean and always looked forward to seeing her uplifting smile. She will be missed. Her impact on our family, your family, our church, and our community will never be fully known. Thank you Jean for blessing us with a godly and vibrant life.
My name is Shirley Durham Kelly, my mother name was Trudie Durham. My mom used to work for Mrs. Jean Misner when she lived in Hampton, Florida many years ago when Marty was a little boy. We thought Marty was our little brother. We really love him. We would have my mom dress him up and we would walk with him up and down the sidewalk in front of their home to show him off. My mom love the entire Parker family. She stayed in contact with Mrs. Jean mother until she passed. My mom passed away in February 2000 and she would always talk about Mrs. Jean and her family and how she missed Mrs. Jean mother (Mrs. Parker). Marty if you still come through Hampton, please stop in to see me. I would love to see you and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. From what I can remember, you had a very sweet mother. I know my mom would want to say something about her since she is not here to do it herself. I will keep you Marty and the rest of the your family in my prayers. Remember God is only a call away.

I met Jean in 1962 at Parkview church. She was the best realtor I ever knew, Miss you Jean.
Marty, Susan & Steve & families, we are praying for your comfort, strength & peace during the coming weeks. Jean was a lifelong friend that offered support & encouragement to our family. She was a great cook & entertainer over the years. She was a great role model as a businesswoman. Her family was all important & she was so proud of them!
