Jane Bradley Bump's Obituary
Jane Bradley Bump, 72, of Newberry, Florida, entered the presence of her Savior on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Columbia, South Carolina, to Joel and Mary Frances Bradley. Throughout her life, Jane served in various professional and volunteer roles, serving families and children of all ages in her church and local schools. She was passionate about studying God’s Word and discipling women. She was a devoted wife of 52 years to her husband, a loving mother to her two daughters, and a proud “Granny” of four grandchildren. She also loved animals, including her grand-dogs, grand-cats, grand-chickens, and her pet rabbit. Jane was a faithful friend and cherished by all who knew her. Along with her unwavering faith in the Lord, Jane will be remembered most for her kindness, wisdom, tenacity, and her sense of humor.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Joel Livington Bradley and Mary Frances Bradley, and her brother, CPT John Livingston Bradley. She is survived by her husband, David Bump; daughters, Heather Bump and Emily Purcell (James); and grandchildren, Joel, Levi, Grace, and Isaac.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org a charity that was close to Jane’s heart.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00am at Westside Baptist Church, 1000 W Newberry Rd Gainesville, Florida 32606.
The family will receive friends from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Westside Baptist Church worship
