Please accept my most heartfelt condolences at the passing of one of the finest men I have ever known. I knew Jimmy when we served together in Charlie Company of the 508th Military Police Battalion in Augsburg, Germany, during the years 1958 to 1960. I will always remember him as a superb soldier and Military Policeman and as truly an outstanding human being. Among all his other attributes, he had this great smile, and always seemed to "stand out." in any gathering at which he was present. I saw him again a few years ago, for the first time in over fifty years, at a reunion of the 508th in Branson, Missouri, and although those of us in attendance at that event were a wee bit older, and hadn't seen each other in a long, long time, we all instantly "knew" Jimmy. The smile, and the pure genuineness that was "Jimmy" was still there. May he ascend to the Kingdom of God and there rest in peace for all eternity.
