James Tilman Gay's Obituary
James Tilman Gay, 76, resident of Archer, Florida, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, following a long illness.
Mr. Gay, was born in Trenton, Florida and had lived in this area his entire life. He was a brick mason, owner of Gay Masonry, until his health forced his retirement in 2003. Mr. Gay loved to hunt and fish (more working on boats than fishing) and was a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church.
He is the son of the late Marshall and Florice Gay, and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Ann Gay; a daughter, Karin Ann (Richard) Pfuntner; three sons, James Hubert (Brenda) Gay, Frank Aaron (Angela) Gay, and Robert Christopher Gay; two brothers, Harold Gay and David Gay and a sister, Dorothy Gay. Preceded by his late brother Arlen Gay - and also survived by his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 6:00 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, with Pastor James Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 P. M.
