Ian David Mundie's Obituary
Ian David Mundie, 49, of High Springs, Florida, died suddenly Thursday, July 17, 2026.
Ian was born March 3, 1977, in Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, New York, but lived most of his life in Drums, Pennsylvania, before moving to High Springs, Florida in 2020. Ian was a graduate of the Hazelton Area High School, Class of 1995. He also attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia. He had worked most of his life as a project manager for various companies in the construction industry, most recently for Aaron Vurgason Electric and Automation, and recently, along with his wife had become the owner and operator of G’s Billiards Bar in Alachua, Florida. He was currently spending most of his free time there, working to expand the business. Ian was a member of St. Madeleine Catholic Church in High Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father, David D. Mundie.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; by two stepchildren, Nicholas and Leah Gianos, all of High Springs; by his mother, Deborah Ulshafer; his sister, Krista (Jimmy) Eveland, of Drums, PA; a niece and nephew, Liam and Elise Eveland; his sisters-in-law; Dorothy Ann (Bill) Rodgers, Helen (Bill) Bolton, Catherine (Richard) Rhoads, Rosemary (Dean) Peters, Mary Claire (Jeff) Connelly, and Bernadette DeCaro (her late husband Chris), along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 A. M., at the St. Madeleine Catholic Church in High Springs with Fr. Sebastian George, celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
