Ian David Mundie, 49, of High Springs, Florida, died suddenly Thursday, July 17, 2026. Ian was born March 3, 1977, in Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, New York, but lived most of his life in Drums, Pennsylvania, before moving to Hig Read Obituary
I had the privilege of getting to know Ian over the past several years since he moved to Florida. Working together for almost that entire time, most days I'd have at least one phone conversation with him. He was not just a colleague but a friend. The man worked tirelessly like very few people I've ever met.
Adjusting to life without Ian will not be easy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
There are no words to express my feelings of Ian's tragic passing.
I will always remember Ian's very often texting me with his newest purchase of a Dewalt tool or device with a note asking....
"Do you have this ?"
No matter if I had it or not we would always gat a chuckle about it.
One of my fondest memories of Ian was the first time I met him when we were sent to work on a job at an RV park that was several days.
I remember our boss Aaron calling me after the second day to ask how the job was going and he said, "Ian said he really enjoyed working with you" I laughed and said, "That's funny because I was about to say the same thing, we not only got a lot done but enjoyed working on the project together"
I know that Ian will surely be missed by all who had the pleasure of working with him but even more by those of us who were lucky enough to call him a friend.
