Howard Townsend's Obituary
Howard Townsend, age 70 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. He was born February 17, 1945 in Gainesville, to Henry Allen and Lilly Mae Cox Townsend.
He grew up in Gilchrist County then moved to Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High School. Howard enjoyed cooking and leather work. He was an avid gator fan and a member of Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Beckham Townsend; daughter, Jennifer Lee Kosiewska; sons, Charles Ian (Jennifer) Townsend and Ron Christopher Townsend; grandchildren, Jordan and Jayden Kosiewska, Devin, Connor, Ian and Tristan Townsend and Blake and Lane Townsend and sister, Eula Mae Thomas.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Hawthorne Cemetery, 23350 S.E. Hawthorne Rd. with Pastor Jim Riley officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, May 11, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street.
