George William Talbot's Obituary
George William Talbot, born March 26, 1931 in Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully August 2, 2016 in Gainesville, FL. At a young age his family moved to Delray Beach, Florida, where he grew up excelling in sports at Delray Beach High School. He attended the University of Florida on a basketball scholarship. At the end of his sophomore year he joined the U. S. Navy, serving as a Seabee. After an honorable discharge he attended the University of Miami on a basketball scholarship receiving his degree in education. He taught and coached high school basketball and football for 30 years at Miami Jackson, Miami Killian and Miami Sunset.
He is predeceased by his wife Connie and daughter Jeanne. Surviving him are two sons Randy (Susan) and Billy, a daughter Conlee (Dan), sister Susan T Williams (Lucian), and brother Rett Talbot (Trudy). He has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606. A graveside service will be held in Bloomington, Indiana at a later date.
