Ethel Augusta Mackey Johnson's Obituary
Ethel M. Johnson, age 92 of Archer, Florida went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 9, 2015. She was born November 12, 1922 in Yatesville, Georgia to Charles Edward and Ellafair Edgerton Kitchings Mackey.
Ethel was a longtime member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church. She always had a laugh and a smile and never met a stranger; her favorite saying was “Have I told you that I love you today?”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deuese Lorenzo Johnson and daughter, Sylvia Louise Johnson.
She is survived by daughters, Gloria J. Johns of Gainesville, FL and Janice J. Henley (Ronnie) of Archer, FL; son, Edward D. Johnson (Tammy) of Bostic, NC; grandchildren, Tammy Swartley, Gary Johns, Ronnie Johnson, Jason Henley and Victoria Henley; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Citra Cemetery, N.E. 175th Street (Old Pine Church Rd.) with Pastor Rick Hartmann officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street.
