I didn't know Emily for very long, I only got to hang out with her. . .once. I was just about to invite her to come over so I could get to know her better, then I heard the news. I, honest to god, cried so much I couldn't see because my eyelids were swollen. I still have veins that stay there, and everyday I see them in the mirror and think of her. Weird, I know, but everyday when I see them I will remember her. I'll remember how amazing she was, how much she inspired me and so many others. She was gorgeous inside and out, I'll always remember her and not just because of those veins on my eyelids but because she changed me in just one day. That's how wonderful she was, Emily was a miracle for us all. Inspiring everyone she talked to or glanced at, her confidence could catch every eye, and her beauty made every girl jealous. She's my role model, my inspiration in life and i'll always thank her for that.
Let me tell you something, people can me mean, greedy, selfish, rude, liars, you name it. I was strong for to long and for the past couple years I've let every negative thought in me, but Emily, that angel from above even when she was down here, taught me without words that you control your happiness. That no matter what they say, it doesn't matter because it's their opinion and they don't know anything about you. To this day, I have people saying mean things to me and it hasn't effected me at all. Yeah, maybe it hurts but I get over it within seconds, Emily taught me this. That is one example of how she has inspired me and so many others.
As we all know Emily has a quote of her own, the genius she is, "Life is not always nice to us. . . I just hope that everyone started to figure out what life really is, it's not anything to just say oh I will die one day and when it happens it happens. . .Some people think you only live once. That is true but you have got to live it right." She's right, this reminds me that any second something can happen. Living life right is living life everyday like it's our last because, like Emily, it will be.
I miss her, we all do. I love her, we all do. She was fascinating, she was different, she was an inspiration, and this question sticks with me everyday. . .Why do all the good people have to go?
We will all remember her till our time is up too.
My best of luck and love goes out to the Cook family, you'll see her one day, just live life everyday right, like Emily once said.
