Edwin "Eddie" Escalera's Obituary
Edwin "Eddie" Escalera, age 56 of Gainesville, Florida died peacefully Monday, April 28, 2014 at Haven Hospice. He was born January 6, 1958 in Yokohama, Japan to Faustino Escalera and Elba Rodriguez.
Eddie was a well known Hairstylist for over 25 years in Gainesville. He served in the US Navy.
He loved to garden, cook and go to the beach. He was named one of the most interesting People in Gainesville. He had many wonderful longtime friends that were with him to the end.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; brother, David; step children, Nicole and Randall; nieces, Demetria and Dorothy and his pets, Blue and Maggie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Dr. Don McGarity officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Alachua County Pet Rescue, 5403 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608
