He had a great sense of humor and always made me and others laugh. I loved playing in his Mississippi Valley Chamber Orchestra. He loved to take family out to eat, which I really enjoyed. Dear family of Ed Schlueter,
I have been reminiscing about my high school year (Henry Sibley class of 1980) and came across Ed's obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. I think he was the last of my favorite teachers who have passed (Barbara Seng, Eileen DeWald, Gar Lockrem, Ken Veale). I loved playing flute under Ed; he provided me with opportunities I never got in band. I am sure he is conducting a celestial orchestra now.
