Sarah Lorenzen
My father used to have me grab his pinky finger to walk me into the grocery stores.
He brought home a bunny rabbit one day after work and let me keep it.
He would always pretend to be asleep so that I would take a nap if I was laying with him. He would always say "You don't have to go to sleep, you just have to rest your eyes"
Every time he went to the gas station I would go with him and he would get a lottery ticket and a pack of smokes and I would get a candy bar. (I still hid his cigarettes every chance I got) I guess I did it so often that my uncle paul has even stated hearing my dad say "Now Sarah where are my cigarettes!?!" every time he misplaced them.
We used to watch gunsmoke, the andy griffith show, and various other westerns. We also watched WWE together.
As masculine as he was he loved Alicia Keys.
Every single Christmas he would make sure that we got a real tree and he played Elvis.
I'm sure there are more, but one of my last memories for now is listening to banjo folk music from the back seat of the car when we were on vacation in Virginia.. and wanting to pull my eardrums physically from my head.
