Eann Richard Randall's Obituary
Eann Richard Randall, born on May 9, 2008, was received into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2026. He was driving to violin practice to rehearse for his twelfth annual FFMC Festival competition when he bumped into a turning car at low speed. When emergency services arrived, he was found unresponsive, and he died at the hospital a short time later. Eann was homeschooled through 12th grade, and he was an honor student. He participated in various homeschool co-ops and always enjoyed competing (and usually winning) academic competitions. He participated in AWANA, a discipleship program to train children to serve the Lord, from kindergarten through sixth grade and completed every book. Eann had many interests over the years. He loved flipping up stones to look for snails and pill bugs, and he amassed large collections of insects (that he caught and pinned), Legos, gemstones, Minecraft figures, and Pokémon cards. Always the wheeler-dealer, he loved to trade with his friend all sorts of things in order to improve his collections. Eann’s love of gaming (especially with his friends) turned into his latest obsession, I.T. Eann was ready to begin working toward a career in digital animation, but his advisor at Santa Fe said that was not the right fit for Eann. That was because Eann didn’t pick the artsy pen to fill out his class schedule; instead, he picked a basic practical black pen. His advisor suggested he look at pursuing a career in cybersecurity, which Eann was doing with enthusiasm. After building his own computer, Eann began fixing all of the discarded tech that people gave him. Of course, for security purposes, he changed all of the operating systems to Linux. He even put a version of Linux with Mac icons onto an old Mac computer. Eann even landed a summer internship working in I.T., which thrilled him. Eann began to come out of his shell over the last few years. He was a reserved adolescent with a few friends, but he blossomed into the guy who knew everyone. Even when we went to consult a new orthodontist, Eann already knew the receptionist. Eann had grown so much in his faith over the past two years of attending North Central Baptist Church. He began joining his youth pastor at outreach events. Eann went on to form an evangelism group where he would take a group out to evangelize on the campuses of Santa Fe and UF. Many recall the sparkle in Eann’s eyes when he had said he led his first student to Christ. Eann was a wonderful son; he made his parents so proud of him in all his endeavors. He adored his younger brother. He was especially close to his sister because they were very close in age and always hung out together. Eann will be sorely missed by all the people he touched in his short life. Eann is survived by his grandparents James and Dianne Randall and Alex and Debbie Hames; his parents Paul and Abigail; and his younger siblings Lillian and Nathan. The viewing will take place on Thursday, February 19, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home located at 823 NW 143rd St, Newberry, FL 32669. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 20, at 1:00 pm at North Central Baptist Church, 8001 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606. The doors will open at 12:30 pm. Interment immediately to follow at the City of Newberry Cemetery, 1905 SW 260th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations to https://livingwaters.com/donate/ would greatly honor Eann’s memory.
