James Cahill
I first knew him as Dr. Ward, my 3rd year medical school Psychiatry rotation resident, then thereafter throughout my residency as Rock Ward, my friend, teacher, advisor, colleague, and sometimes co-conspirator.
As young men finding our way we complained, laughed, planned, and generally strove to do better. Upon his move to UF we connected a few times sporadically over the years, the last just around the time of his retirement from a successful career, and as usual he was enthusiastically looking forward to a new opportunity to teach and contribute.
We caught up and laughed, we reminisced and laughed (mostly at ourselves), and we planned to do it again. Thank you, my friend.
